While watching Oprah today John Quinjoness did the following experiment, he went 2 Texas & planted 2 actors in a bakery. 1 worker refuse 2 serve a Muslim woman, (2 actor) saying things like "we don't serve your kind here". When John approach 1 white male who said "I agree with you" to the actor not serving the Muslim woman, and describe himself. And ask this white male "Why didn't he help her" he stated to John, "Your not American either" even though John's father grew up in Texas, and John is six generation Texas American. My question is this "WHY ARE TEXAS AMERICAN WHITE PEOPLE SO RACIST"? Please no idiots need apply I'm not anti white, I just want to know why?

Because it's the South....and you can't get much further South than Texas. Ugh.

I wouldn't trust anything I saw on the liberal communist Oprah Wimprey show, This woman is only dividing and causing harm to America, Besides that, The south is loaded with African Americans that have absolutely no problem with race issues, People like Oprah are not exposing racism, They are causing racism, God bless !

I don't think it's just Texas. I'm a white person in Texas and I don't know any racist people. I've dated outside my race many times and I've had Islamic employers before whom I get along with wonderfully. It depends on where you go in Texas, though I'm sure you can say that about any state. Unfortunately, people like to take one incident and apply it to all of Texas. It just isn't like that.

Idk, they're the ones who wanted to keep slavery too. Something about undereducation and not being exposed to the rest of the world since they're from a traditional background. Racism and intolerant religious ideals fester in that kind of environment.

it's not like california or new york. a lot of hicks live there. and plus it's the south. where slavery used to be.
def. of hick:
an uneducated white trash person, who thinks they are better than people of color because they are white. they usually live in trailer parks or are homeless because they don't give a f*ck about educationa nd are too lazy.

Im not white and was raised in texas. Texas is the friendliest place ever. All the white people down here are extremely nice. too nice, they strike up conversations with you anywhere. and always want to help you. I suggest you travel and read before you start making generalizations like that.

I saw that! and he even followed the guy out or something. That really did sadden me and then that part where the two younger girls stuck up for her. But I don't think it's just that they're Texan or even white. I just think that it's that the people we see acting like that usually grow up in the same culture and around each other and the same races do tend to be around each other more. So the people acting like that may be white usually but that doesn't mean that the white Texans are usually like that.

First, It will be unfair to brand all white Texans as racist. However, it is true that racism thrives in the southern fomer confederal state more than other parts of the country. I will attribute this attitudes to the education gap. The lesser educated you are, the most likely you would be racially prejudiced. Take states like New York and California where I reside, there are much more educated people who see the world differently.
Looking back to Obama's victory, if you look at the electoral college map, you will see that he lost most of the States in the South and the Great Plains where the level of educated Americans seem to be lower than other areas. I would attribute racism today as ignorance and illiteracy because the world has moved on and I will advice you to move on as well... don't let it get under your skin.
