Hi, I have long golden curly hair. I am getting quite bored of it, and want to try something new. Should i have side bangs, or something else? It also is getting quite straight because of its length what should I do? Thanks in advance :)

As always, the best thing for you to do is have a consultation with a professional hair stylist. They have the training, the skill and the experience to know what can be done with YOUR hair and with YOUR features. They will talk with you to determine what kind of person YOU are, and what would fit YOUR lifestyle. You should probably talk to two or three different stylists to get several opinions. Be sure to ask about cost. Ask about up-keep in styling it. Ask about after-care. And more importantly, ask how often you will need to get it re-shaped to keep it looking good. Will you be able to style it at home by yourself?

Once you have all the information, then you can make up your mind.

i also have long curly hair and deciding on what i can do thats different is hard.

try going for a little bit of length off, lots of layers to thin it out then finish off with bangs. it will look great curly and amazing when/if you straighten your hair.

the one thing you must consider before changing your hairstyle is whether you can manage it with your curly hair. shorter styles such as layers and bangs are great but make sure they arent cut too short as they will stick out and your curls wont form.

It depends...I have really curly hair (spiral curls) and the last time I got it cut (last month) I got a mod bob with stacked layers in the back; my haircut on the sides was put from short in the back(side) to longer in the front; although I got side-swept bangs going diagonally (down, obviously). I loved it and it looks really classic (not trashy!), but I have to blow-dry and straighten it when i was used to just taking a shower and scrunching it(extra tip for straightening with a bob: straighten inward - basically straightening it but curling inwards towards your head)....It also depends on your face shape - mine is oval, with a strong jaw, almost making it square. Good luck!
p.s. - I can still scrunch it curly with the length and layers - i just have to strtaighten my bangs. also - the length in the back is at my beginning jawline.
