I know it's a good cut because when the hairdresser styled it it looked fantastic, it looked like marilyn monroe, but I cant do anything with it at home. I have medium curly hair (Im white, I look like my avatar) and my hair is now chin length with lots of layers.

Ive tried everything I can think of to make it curl nicely, but it just looks flat and retarded. Ive resorted to wearing hairbands or head-wraps every day which makes me look like a biker chick who cuts her own hair with a switchblade!

do you have any tips for how to dry it (blow dry or air dry), wash it, condition it, what products to use, or how to put it up so it's out of my face but still looks pretty? my goal with this haircut was to look like marilyn monroe.

Here's what I do with my shoulder length curly hair:
1. Wash and condition with Suave's version of Biolage
2. Comb out while wet
3. Apply Super Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchell
4. Tip head upside down and apply Aussie Catch the Wave Mousse plus Leave In all over and scrunch, scrunch, scrunch
5. Tip head back up and apply Pantene Pro-V srunching gel, not to roots though, because that makes roots look a bit greasy
6. Tip head back upside down and blow dry with a diffuser while srunching hair with hands (do not use brush or comb)
7. Get hair half way dry not fully, and make sure top is pretty dry. Then I like to take my Paul Mitchell Flat Iron and flatten out my bangs to the side, but leave the rest curly
8. After this you may need to do a quick spritz of a leave in to tame flyaways, or Bed Head makes great products for that as well
9. Then you can top it off with some hairspray if you'd like
10. Most important - then don't touch! Resist picking at hair with hands or combing it. This creates frizz.

Good luck! If you'd like to see a pic of my current style, let me know.
