I'm doing a reseach project for school on Entertainment Tonight because that is a job I really have considered applying for. Is there certain tests in college you have to take, what you need to do to be a host on the show, applications/interviews etc. Any help is appreciated. :-)

It would depend on which JOB you'd like to apply for. Because you mentioned Host, I'll go with that....but for applying for crew, you'd probably just need prior crew experience.
The way hosts are chosen, is usually by producers, or casting directors watching "reels" that have been submitted. Reels are usually short 2 minute videos of someone applying for the host position on camera, showing several skits or news segments they have done quicky back to back, proving that they have some charisma in front of the camera. I dont think they accept applications, (or "reels") all the time, but you'd probably have better luck going on a job board to see what other TV show is looking for a host at the time.
After submitting these reels, if they like you they'd probably call you in for an audition or interivew. Most likely for a gig like that, you'd need some prior TV Hosting experience on your paper resume. But, in this age with SO many reality tv shows, and so many tv stations that thrive on new hosts, there are many ways to get hosting jobs on one network, and move all the way to entertainment tonight!
