If Heath Ledger does get an Oscar nomination for his performance in The Dark Knight (2008), it will be for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, not in a Leading Role. I don't know if he will win or not, but personally I think he at least deserves the nomination. His portrayal of the Joker is spectacular. It is both a memorable and remarkable performance worthy of recognition.
